Message from our Safeguarding and Welfare Officer
I thought it might be good to advise/remind club members of who I am, and my role within the club. I have included a pic so that you might be able to put a face to the name and recognise me on the field.

It is a requirement, and frankly, a minimum expectation that there should be a safeguarding lead within the club who is responsible for the physical and emotional welfare of club members.
This is just me reaching out to ensure that all club members know who to report any safeguarding or welfare issues to in the first instance. You all have my contact number from WhatsApp to be able to contact me at any time. There is a who's‑who of the committee in the bunker, and you will find my contact details listed on that as well, or you can use the email address at the bottom of this page. My appointment here is to serve as members' first point of contact to disclose any safeguarding concerns.
Should you feel uncomfortable speaking to me, you can make disclosures to the Archery GB safeguarding team by clicking on this link.
Should there be any risk of harm or endangerment concerns then members should contact emergency services by calling 999.
Just to re-assure members, we are a very safe and inclusive club and my position - and this message - is all part of the club's compliance and pursuit of best practice.
Happy shooting!!!
Duncan Agnew - Safeguarding and Welfare Officer
